“May have been the losing side. Still not convinced it was the wrong one.”

"This report is maybe 12-years-old. Parliament buried it, and it stayed buried till River dug it up. This is what they feared she knew. And they were right to fear because there's a whole universe of folk who are gonna know it, too. They're gonna see it. Somebody has to speak for these people. You all got on this boat for different reasons, but you all come to the same place. So now I'm asking more of you than I have before. Maybe all. Sure as I know anything I know this, they will try again. Maybe on another world, maybe on this very ground swept clean. A year from now, 10, they'll swing back to the belief that they can make people . . . better. And I do not hold to that. So no more running. I aim to misbehave." ~ Captain Malcom Reynolds

Word of the day

Cat-ervision - the direct supervision performed by a person's feline when they are attempting to accomplish some task. The degree and proximity of cat-ervision required is directly proportional to the delicacy of the task, or the possibility of small pieces which might be entertaining to said cat.

I'm sure I can also draw a corollary to my long-stated theory that if you laid a newspaper out to read it in the Serengeti a lion would shortly come along to lay across the pages...

A cat cannot abide NOT being the center of your attention ... so if you're paying attention to something else, they will lay on top of it.

"Pay. Attention. To. ME."

LOL'ing@ the newspaper comment. This post reminds me of an incident a few days ago. A man was at the house working outside on a broken sewer pipe and I went out to see how things were going and there was our cat curled up in his toolbox....

They also "catervise" tucking kiddos into bed at night... just in case we do it wrong. Well, the mama cat does. The other one is all...my god! Aren't the demons asleep yet?! Oh...milk cap!

The very best way I know to attract the cat is to put on my nicest dress pants. Poof, hair and claws!

@Goddess - you'd think a toolbox would be less than comfortable! Silly creatures.
