“May have been the losing side. Still not convinced it was the wrong one.”

"This report is maybe 12-years-old. Parliament buried it, and it stayed buried till River dug it up. This is what they feared she knew. And they were right to fear because there's a whole universe of folk who are gonna know it, too. They're gonna see it. Somebody has to speak for these people. You all got on this boat for different reasons, but you all come to the same place. So now I'm asking more of you than I have before. Maybe all. Sure as I know anything I know this, they will try again. Maybe on another world, maybe on this very ground swept clean. A year from now, 10, they'll swing back to the belief that they can make people . . . better. And I do not hold to that. So no more running. I aim to misbehave." ~ Captain Malcom Reynolds

Tidbits

- Whatever you do, don't go to the DMV "tomorrow." - because it is obviously going to be absolutely packed. I say this, because yet again today I got the same answer for why someone hadn't taken care of their license plates/drivers license/whatever that I have gotten it seems every other time over the years: "Oh, I was going to do it tomorrow, I promise!" Just saying it's going to be a busy day...

- What is it about the fact I'm driving a truck instead of a car that makes people think they somehow can magically break the law in front of me and not get stopped? I mean, it has obvious markings, lights and them whole works. But instead, yet again, I get folks screaming by me at over 20 miles over the limit...

- Ended up working a bit late helping with a search warrant. If you ever feel like you've been neglecting your housekeeping, just go along on one of these warrants and you'll feel like your place is spotless, trust me... And yet again we had to laugh at the truism that on every search warrant we've collectively done we have found porn and sex toys - and rarely the good types...

That's it for my day - back to school work for me!

You get that same excuse from nonlicensed driver, too, huh? What is great is when the driver claims they went that morning and just left their new ID at home....when that day was a holiday and all government offices were closed, including the DMV! Busted! :)
