“May have been the losing side. Still not convinced it was the wrong one.”

"This report is maybe 12-years-old. Parliament buried it, and it stayed buried till River dug it up. This is what they feared she knew. And they were right to fear because there's a whole universe of folk who are gonna know it, too. They're gonna see it. Somebody has to speak for these people. You all got on this boat for different reasons, but you all come to the same place. So now I'm asking more of you than I have before. Maybe all. Sure as I know anything I know this, they will try again. Maybe on another world, maybe on this very ground swept clean. A year from now, 10, they'll swing back to the belief that they can make people . . . better. And I do not hold to that. So no more running. I aim to misbehave." ~ Captain Malcom Reynolds

Musical request

For insane reasons of my own, I'd be curious as to everyone's suggestions for Steampunk-genre music... groups, albums or individual songs. Explanations as to why will be extra-appreciated.

Appreciate it folks :D

I also find the Blue Oyster Cult Imaginos album to be somewhat close in concept, even if not musically apropos...

Dunno why, but Enigma always reminded me of Steampunk...the darker sides, at least. 'Course, that may be due to the gothic sound, but they're still cool.

This world needs more Steampunk.

I really like the album Steam Powered Stories by the group The Cog is Dead. Good stuff, very fun!

Also, be sure to listen to Professor Elemental, who is not strictly steampunk, but very similar and HILARIOUS:

Check out the band "Pandora Celtica' at http://www.pandoraceltica.com/fr_home.cfm. They're a celtic accapella group (sounds odd but they're amazingly good). They even have one song (can't remember which CD right off hand) that's got a Steampunk theme. One of the group also has a Steampunk art site at http://www.etsy.com/shop/Avarra if you want t check it out.
