“May have been the losing side. Still not convinced it was the wrong one.”

"This report is maybe 12-years-old. Parliament buried it, and it stayed buried till River dug it up. This is what they feared she knew. And they were right to fear because there's a whole universe of folk who are gonna know it, too. They're gonna see it. Somebody has to speak for these people. You all got on this boat for different reasons, but you all come to the same place. So now I'm asking more of you than I have before. Maybe all. Sure as I know anything I know this, they will try again. Maybe on another world, maybe on this very ground swept clean. A year from now, 10, they'll swing back to the belief that they can make people . . . better. And I do not hold to that. So no more running. I aim to misbehave." ~ Captain Malcom Reynolds

Frustration

Had some nice little blog post planned, and now I lost it - the internet decided to take a big dump right on the sheets & not even have the decency to hide it, and now I've lost my flow in the frustration of trying to recover schoolwork I was in the middle of & everything else. Ah well.

Cold weather coming here tomorrow - same stuff everyone else has been dealing with, so I shouldn't gripe.

Nah, I think your right to complain about the weather has a lot more to do with whether you'll be out in it than whether other people are experiencing it too.

Case in point: It was single-digits to a lil below 0F in my area overnight, but as I spent the time fast asleep in a tight house with a non-leaky furnace and awoke as the house temperature came up to 65F by timer-based thermostat design, I really have nothing to complain about.

But comcast is bringing a new modem in the morning! 'Cause it's not like we use the internet or anything--you know, for work or school!
