“May have been the losing side. Still not convinced it was the wrong one.”

"This report is maybe 12-years-old. Parliament buried it, and it stayed buried till River dug it up. This is what they feared she knew. And they were right to fear because there's a whole universe of folk who are gonna know it, too. They're gonna see it. Somebody has to speak for these people. You all got on this boat for different reasons, but you all come to the same place. So now I'm asking more of you than I have before. Maybe all. Sure as I know anything I know this, they will try again. Maybe on another world, maybe on this very ground swept clean. A year from now, 10, they'll swing back to the belief that they can make people . . . better. And I do not hold to that. So no more running. I aim to misbehave." ~ Captain Malcom Reynolds

OOH RAH! Love this!!

@Suz - go to recruitparents.com ... even though there is an awful lot of, um, helicopter parenting for this old jarhead, it's still a good way to see and connect with others going through the same thing. Just remember to always capitalize the title Marine, and you'll do great.

Semper Fi!

Thanks Meadowlark! Not much of a helicopter myself, but I'm still a bit jittery.

@suz, wait'll you read some of the comments the MofA (mothers of America) make. You'll be flabbergasted. "... he's a very picky eater and I'm wondering if they're making sure he has enough food he likes..." snicker, yeah they TOTALLY are making sure he's happy. :)

Sorry for hijacking your comments Sean.

Not a problem Meadowlark - hard for me to get to them at times! And be nice - the food isn't THAT bad... I mean, it's better than deployment food!

Suz - congratulations and best of luck to the young man! There are few things he will ever do in life which will match the pride of what he is about to accomplish.

Heck with choked up, I cried and posted it to my facebook. This should be aired on tv for those who forget so easily the people who served for us. My thanks.
