“May have been the losing side. Still not convinced it was the wrong one.”

"This report is maybe 12-years-old. Parliament buried it, and it stayed buried till River dug it up. This is what they feared she knew. And they were right to fear because there's a whole universe of folk who are gonna know it, too. They're gonna see it. Somebody has to speak for these people. You all got on this boat for different reasons, but you all come to the same place. So now I'm asking more of you than I have before. Maybe all. Sure as I know anything I know this, they will try again. Maybe on another world, maybe on this very ground swept clean. A year from now, 10, they'll swing back to the belief that they can make people . . . better. And I do not hold to that. So no more running. I aim to misbehave." ~ Captain Malcom Reynolds

Random bit

As I said, it was a busy week. For example...

About 3 the other morning I'm driving down the road in search of a quiet spot to sit, since everyone else was tied up on stuff so it wasn't a good time to be hunting... when, lo & behold a car turns right into my lane going the wrong way in front of me.

"Ah ha," I declared, "a clue! Perhaps this miscreant is in need of further investigation!" Yeah, you didn't need to be Sherlock Holmes to figure that one out, but still...

So after a bit of drama getting them to stop - which of course is simply further entries in the clue-log - I get up to the car.... to be faced with a rather horrendous event.

A mouthful of rotting teeth.

Now keep in mind, I've seen bad teeth before. Third world living with not a dentist in sight. Crack & meth heads. Heck I even dated a British girl (just a joke folks!)... But that isn't what I mean.

These teeth were actually in process of rotting and infection - apparently our special driver had an altercation a couple of weeks prior, knocking a few out, and infection had set in.

Folks - there was pus litterally oozing out of this mouth. I thought I knew what bad breath was, but this was a new record...

And, due to the obvious pain of the dental issue, said driver was whacked out of her skull on percocets and other pain medications... thus explaining our impaired driving (pain meds crossed their mind, but dental care didn't... go figure.)

Which means, given all the issues, not only do I have to do my DUI investigation and process, but I have to get them medically cleared before the jail will accept them...

Not listed as "the most pleasant five hours I've spent in someone's company" by any stretch.

Just a tale from the week that was... if you wonder why a small bit of my soul died!

Whoa...you still have a soul?!

And, yes, I'm sure everyone is most disappointed you don't get to share pictures. A small part of me if forever scarred because you managed to share them with me.
