Spooky Moments
When you're on the 8th floor of the hotel, and there are no balconies, you should NOT hear two voices distinctly arguing outside your window.
No, I'm not looking. Chalk it up to a long day.
Advice from a firefighter; when staying in a high rise motel, be sure to book a room on the street side on the 7th floor or below. No fire department ladder truck can reach any higher, and the ladder truck can't park on the pool. Of course, that type of rescue should be last resort. Know where the exits are and have 2 ways out, and when the alarm sounds, GTFO immediately.
I was staying at a hotel outside of Labanon Tn and the fire alarm went off at around 2am. Quickly dressed and wend down the stairs to the lobby. Fire Dept was already there and decided the the fire alarm system had malfunctioned. The scary part is that maybe 6 people left their rooms and came down.
