“May have been the losing side. Still not convinced it was the wrong one.”

"This report is maybe 12-years-old. Parliament buried it, and it stayed buried till River dug it up. This is what they feared she knew. And they were right to fear because there's a whole universe of folk who are gonna know it, too. They're gonna see it. Somebody has to speak for these people. You all got on this boat for different reasons, but you all come to the same place. So now I'm asking more of you than I have before. Maybe all. Sure as I know anything I know this, they will try again. Maybe on another world, maybe on this very ground swept clean. A year from now, 10, they'll swing back to the belief that they can make people . . . better. And I do not hold to that. So no more running. I aim to misbehave." ~ Captain Malcom Reynolds

Best Web Browsers?

I've been running Chrome for a couple of years now - I like the cross-platform commonality of things. But, it's become a bit of a resource hog I've noticed, and several of the changes in system function (such as bookmarks) are a bit frustrating.

So what is everyone else using for browsers these days?

I bounce between chrome and firefox. I've been on chrome for a while, but it is definitely showing the bloat, along with being annoyingly smug about what it won't support based on what google thinks the internet should work like. I'm this --> <-- close to switching back to firefox.

I use Chrome, but if I were to stop, my first choice would be the Firefox fork called "Pale Moon".

I would also suggest adding a flash blocker to stop hidden flash crap from running. That will make it less of a hog. As to other browsers I am not much help as I basically only use chrome now.

I'm using a Flash blocker and an ad blocker, it's all the other Chrome bloat that is bugging me. Along with as I said their interface changes.

But sounds like everyone is basically in the same boat, at least until a new option emerges.

Thanks for the inputs.

You might want to try Opera. Or one of the following
SeaMonkey- Mozilla/Firefox offshoot
Epic- Privacy focused browser.
Chromium- Chrome without Google spying/reporting
Iron- Chrome base also. Security focused. Supposedly fast page rendering.
