"This report is maybe 12-years-old. Parliament buried it, and it stayed buried till River dug it up. This is what they feared she knew. And they were right to fear because there's a whole universe of folk who are gonna know it, too. They're gonna see it. Somebody has to speak for these people. You all got on this boat for different reasons, but you all come to the same place. So now I'm asking more of you than I have before. Maybe all. Sure as I know anything I know this, they will try again. Maybe on another world, maybe on this very ground swept clean. A year from now, 10, they'll swing back to the belief that they can make people . . . better. And I do not hold to that. So no more running. I aim to misbehave." ~ Captain Malcom Reynolds

Travel suggestions
So, I'll be in New Mexico for the next two weeks for some training, and will have some free time in there. Seeing as I haven't visited the state since about 1987, any suggestions from my readers on good spots to visit? Right now the thoughts are leaning towards a day in Santa Fe, but I'm open to other ideas.

That is one state I have yet to visit. One of these days I am going to do a "visit all the states I have not seen yet" trip. Not too many left....
But enjoy your time and bring back the heat with you!
I love Santa Fe, but slightly off the beaten path is Carlsbad Caverns, which are very cool. Also, if you're a space nerd like me, the VLA outside Socorro is awesome too.
I've done Carlsbad years ago, but that might be worth another trip - hadn't thought of it til you suggested. Already planning a stop by the VLA if possible. Thanks for the ideas.
I love Sante Fe. North of the city is Taos which is also intriguing. Less city. More culture.
